Reducing complexity to focus on what matters most
Challenge
An undisclosed client was encountering challenges with their internal workflows and their current case management software. With a tight turnaround, the small team I was on set out to conduct a targeted discovery effort to identify the issues and recommend solutions.

Contribution
In order to understand their current challenges our we focused on some key areas and used the following methodologies to help get the insights we needed.
Conducted interviews with leadership to understand their challenges and goals
Lead iterative working sessions with leadership, users of their current case management system, and others outside the platform to create a comprehensive understanding of current workflows.
Created wireframes and lo-fidelity prototypes of a new case management system
Usability tested these with end users to refine our approach
Results
Our working sessions and mapping of their current workflow were instrumental in helping the client understand where their challenges were
Delivered a working prototype and specs for the client to use with their in house development team
